Sterling Literacy is proud to announce our new partnership with the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction.

We have been selected as the lead organization for the Early Literacy Coordinator Network under the state’s federally funded literacy grant and their ND CLIMBS initiative.

Over the next several years, we will collaborate closely with early childhood leaders across North Dakota to:

  • Build statewide capacity in the science of reading

  • Strengthen birth-to-five partnerships between schools and communities

  • Apply data and improvement science to drive stronger outcomes

  • Equip families to support their children’s literacy journey from the start

This initiative represents a shared commitment to our youngest learners. By investing in high-quality, evidence-based early literacy practices, we aim to increase kindergarten readiness and lay the groundwork for long-term academic success, workforce preparation, and stronger communities.

We look forward to supporting North Dakota’s exceptional educators and leaders who are doing the work every day to advance literacy for all children.

Together, we’re building the foundation for lasting change.
